Deep Roots Farm in Moscow, ID grows vegetables and small fruits using techniques that promote biodiversity on their farm. They use only natural methods and do not use any synthetic chemicals for raising healthy food in small spaces all in Moscow city limits. Deep Roots sells directly to customers in as well as to local restaurants.

This cut flower farm in Viola, ID was established in 2020 by long time gardener and Master Gardener Tammy Lewis. Selling to florists and retail, the farm offers seasonal fresh cut flowers by the bucket, the bundle, in a bouquet or by the stem.

Da-Jin and Charlotte Sun’s farm has been registered organic since 2002. They grow close to 30 different vegetables, as well as 40 medicinal herbs for healing teas. They sell their produce at Moscow’s Farmer’s Market and have been selling produce, eggs, and seeds to the Moscow Food Co-op for nearly 30 years.

Living Soil Microfarms grows a diversity of produce using raised-bed intensive gardening methods.  All produce is hand grown with focus on soil fertility through natural mulches. You can buy produce through an online market www.localline.ca/living-soil-microfarm as well as purchase CSA subscriptions (available from mid-July through end October).

Marketta Ridge Farm


Marketta Ridge Farm, owned by Jake and Danielle Adams, is dedicated to sustainable farming practices and providing high quality, farm-to-table foods. They offer a wide variety of fruits (Cosmic Crisp apples & berries) , quail eggs, live quail, seasonal produce and other farm products. Additionally, they host a U-pick pumpkin patch in the Fall.

Mellifera Farm


Mellifera Farm was homesteaded in the late 1800’s and maintained as a diverse family farm for much of the next century.  Today, the farm is a special place, inspired by art and science, and dedicated to the sustainable production of cut flowers, Icelandic sheep for meat and fiber, and queen bees.

Denise and Henry Wetzel purchased a small farm in 2017. Starting a farm is something they never really intended to do but they are so happy that they have this opportunity. Now, they are helping their son, Mark, start ReMARKable Eggs, a pastured poultry egg business, so they can sell his eggs and their jams and flowers at the Moscow Farmer’s Market.

Spring Valley Tree Farm

Steury Orchards, located about 15 miles north of Moscow, is an apple and pear orchard emphasizing old American dessert and cider varieties and English and French cider varieties.

Sunshine Creek Farm raises and sells Lowline Cattle and raw Palouse Honey. Their cattle are raised on 100% grass, never grain. This means they taste different because they are fed different. Their meat is all-natural. This means their cattle are only fed grass and Sunshine Creek Beef never receive any drugs like antibiotics, or chemical treatments of any sort such as hormones or conventional wormers.
